Halfmoon

フィットネスとリラックス、両方の機能を持ったリバーシブル家具の設計を行った。
腹筋運動や背筋伸ばしなど自宅でのエクササイズを手軽にし、ひっくり返すとロッキング座椅子やハンモックのような寝心地のソファとなる。 折り畳むことができ複数の使い方ができる家具は、日本に多い狭い住居スペースにも適しており、自宅での時間を豊かなものにする。
フレームは円の3分の1を全長とし、さらにその内3分の1を可動部分とした数学的幾何学に基づいたデザイン。 フレームの円弧に沿って木目が現れるように、タモ材を曲木加工しており、構造的にも安定した形状と素材となっている。

Halfmoon is a piece of multi-functional furniture for both wellness and comfortable uses.
Halfmoon makes belly muscle exercise and back stretching easy at home, and by turning upside down, it becomes rocking seat chair and hammock-like-feeling sofa. The main frame was shaped in one third circle and its one third was foldable part, which meant a design based on mathematical geometries. The main flame was made of bended ash wood timbers in order to show grain lines along the curved flame and to strength the structure.
